(Manchester, NH) – The Friends of Norris Cotton Cancer Center was the beneficiary of the first “Pink & Blue Bash”, a Halloween costume party held at the Executive Court in Manchester. Hosted by Crissy Kantor of chill Spa and Christine Telge of Friends of Norris Cotton, the event generated awareness for Prostate and Breast Cancers and raised more than $7,500.

More than 125 guests enjoyed a fun-filled evening of food, drink and dancing to music from the 1980’s. Costume prizes were awarded to the best overall 80’s themed costume, as well as the best pink and blue costumes (representing the colors associated with breast and prostate cancers).

The event raised over $7,500 for cancer research and patient services at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center.  Patients and survivors, Christine Lewis and Jeff Kantor, spoke to the attendees about the importance of early detection and supporting research that will one day lead to a cure for both diseases.

Christine Telge, the Southern Coordinator for the Friends of Norris Cotton Cancer Center states, “This money helps fund world-class research, state-of-the-art equipment, critical education programs and innovative clinical trials that make a difference in the treatment of cancer patients. With 17 cancer center locations in New Hampshire and Vermont, the funds raised will go toward important patient and family support services that help ease the journey of cancer patients and their families.”
